The past few months have been very hectic for my family as we’re planning yet another move! I got back a week ago from a trip to Dubai’s Palm Islands and we’ve been blessed with unseasonably warm weather in London so I didn’t quite get a chance to miss Dubai’s sunny charm… until this morning! Headed out early with the kids for breakfast and a familiar windy & cold London combo enrobed our walk… the city is blossoming however (see last pic) so we still decided to walk… Nevertheless, as soon as I got to the resto I took refuge in my iPhone’s Dubai snaps for some warmth!

Vacationing here is a speedboat trip to the senses: from dipping in the crystal clear turquoise ocean to touching the soft white sandy beaches to savoring the delicious Indian inspired food to relaxing to the healing scent of coconut oil during a traditional Asian massage to hearing the Friday call to prayer in Arabic from a small local island next to the resort… A humble traditional country drizzled by luxury resorts attracting the world to dots barely visible on the world map… The many contrasts invite you to relax, reflect and be inspired…
Maybe today is a rainy day, but the days are getting longer and the shorts shorter and I am getting ready for more sun!
