Adding nature elements and colors to my life makes me feel rejuvenated and refreshed and is one way to put a few more deep exhales back into the daily grind. #GoodMorning☀️#SweetMorning #StartTheDayOffOnTheRightNote🎵😊#MakeYoureselfAGoodBreakfast 🍨🍓🍒#LookOnTheBrightSide #NatureTherapy🌿💐#BringTheOutdoorsIn🕊🍃 #ADoseOfNature #GreenTherapy 🌳 #ColourTherapy🌈
In Paris & Fontainebleau the setting is perfect to inspire you for your next design project, from the colors to the patterns to the unexpected combinations, the artistic frames you’ll unexpectedly find yourself immersed in will constantly defy your expectations of what has been possible (even centuries ago!) and stir up in you ideas of what can be…
I woke up this morning to the song of Kendji Girac “Les Yeux de La Mama”. It’s no other than my little daughter running towards my bed with daddy’s iPhone in her tiny hand blasting the music and tilting her head right and left along with the rhythm (and sporadically saying: “Mama!”). It is Mother’s Day in the Middle East today and we’ve been actually celebrating Motherhood since the beginning of this month as it was mum’s day in the UK earlier this month. Middle Easterns started celebrating since and will probably keep it going until the American Mother’s Day in May! Nothing exaggerated in that, we love our moms so much that we praise them on each and every opportunity! (…and we like celebrating!)
Today we also traditionally celebrate the beginning of spring, the blooming season of Nature’s gorgeousness.
It is such a beautiful day rejoicing two splendid life-giving phenomenons and I can’t help but make my OOTD and decor celebrate along!
It doesn’t take long for London’s elaborate tea time tablescapes to capture a girl’s royal imagination and I was no exception…so much so that I + my 9 month old daughter are hosting our first English breakfast tomorrow morning! It’s doubling as a double playdate for her so we’ll attend to our respective guests! When I’m hosting, I love lining things up and rehearsing the tablescape look the night before… particularly if it’s a breakfast!!! ⏰ This gives me time to tweak and create the fantasy I want my guests to escape to for those few hours where tea, harmony in colors and gossip (don’t worry we’re not talking about you! 😜) are all that matters! Now I’m not sure what her prep plans are, she seems much more relaxed about it all and has gone to bed. She’ll probably have a better glow than me… Perhaps that’s her strategy!😏 Smart baby! Meanwhile my 3 year old knows nothing about it as she’s supposed to be at school at that time but I’m preparing myself for a lot of questions tomorrow morning when she sees my tablescape!
…for Christmas Eve
Merry Christmas everyone! Remember that divine beauty is often around the corner and all you need to do is look closely and emphasize it… If you’re not able to find it, remember that you yourself are a miracle and can create beauty with a little thoughtful touch through pause, contemplation and love…
I’ve always had a weakness for russian dolls… they are a fun symbol of maternity and I thought they would make the perfect party favor to embody the close bond I share with my two daughters whose initials are featured on the medium and small dolls. On the large doll I chose to feature a bouquet as my daughters’ names are floral. Those Matryoshkas are also pretty cosmopolitan themselves as they were designed in the US (per my guidance), the wooden dolls were made in Russia (by Golden Cockerel), while the packaging (the printed boxes and stickers) were made in Lebanon (by DELF / Dar El Founoun).
